By journey
Connect intake, decisions, handoffs, delivery, corrections, and outcome across the customer or work journey.
Recorded work is the evidence a business creates while getting things done: conversations, workflow histories, files, decisions, corrections, visual records, and completed outcomes.

The full history gives context. A-Type helps map it, then organize relevant parts around the question the business actually wants to answer.
Conversations and decisions
Workflow and system histories
Working files and documentation
Exceptions and corrections
Completed work and outcomes
Photos, video, and field records
One record can make more sense when it is seen beside the conversation, task, decision, and outcome around it. Different questions may require different views of the same operating history.
Connect intake, decisions, handoffs, delivery, corrections, and outcome across the customer or work journey.
Group the records that explain a repeated process such as estimating, scheduling, support, fulfillment, or quality review.
Focus on decisions, exceptions, corrections, approvals, or other moments where experience shaped what happened next.
Select the context needed for a defined search, analysis, workflow-support, automation, agent, or research question.
A-Type does not begin by moving everything into one place. We connect enough of the history to make one important journey understandable, then prepare the bounded material its intended use requires.
Relevant conversations, system events, working files, decisions, and outcomes are identified at a high level.
The records are related to the request, handoffs, judgment, correction, and result they help explain.
Only the context required for an approved business question or evaluation is organized for closer work.
The business keeps a useful map, inventory, control questions, and practical next-step plan.
A whole-business map shows the relationships among sources before anything is separated. It helps explain where a record came from, what happened around it, and which outcome it supports.
Purpose-built collections bring together the relevant records for one workflow, decision pattern, outcome, time period, or AI initiative. They are narrower than the whole corpus and easier to evaluate responsibly.
More useful does not mean more data.
A strong collection has a defined purpose, meaningful context, clear boundaries, and an understood connection to the work. Records that are irrelevant, duplicative, restricted, or unsuitable should not be included simply because they exist.
Photos, video, measurements, inspections, field notes, work instructions, and sign-offs can preserve how skilled work is performed.
These records may involve people, private locations, safety conditions, or other sensitive context. Existing material and any new research capture require their own purpose, authority, consent, privacy, and suitability review.
A-Type begins with high-level mapping. Any deeper work requires a defined purpose, business authority, appropriate privacy and confidentiality review, and separately agreed terms. No outcome is guaranteed.
